Sony phone that can take 3D pictures on a standard 2D camera is set for launch next month.
Photos taken on Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Arc S can be viewed on any compatible TV.
The phone, however, will display them only in two dimensions. Nor will it be able to produce 3D video output.
The camera works by taking several simultaneous images and “stitching” them together.
The phone, which runs Google’s Android operating system, has an 11cm screen and 8.1 megapixel camera.
