Wattworld, Put this in a fitness magazine, but why make an effort.

Wattworld: Torero

Wattworld: Toilets

Wattworld: Chien

Wattworld: Judo

First thing the logo here looks just like that bike, dated and distasteful. I get a feeling they spend a lot of money to do this campaign it on the cheap.

Those are all nice and almost funny visuals, but its not quite there in many ways. The background crowd in the bull rink, the terrible urban background (power lines and stuff on the grass) actually I am not a fan of the styling in that one at all. That image had great potential but the production was not so great there. It really was a great idea but they just did not bother. The judo and toilet shots are fairly minimal and so work ok, there was no need to extend on the production value there.

Who buys those electric bikes anyway? I think I have seen old guys on bikes like those, but those ads are so not in the market there. The ads are like cheating, when you ride an electric bike you are cheating… yourself.

Hogle Zoo, Zen toilet humor.

Hogle Zoo: Cat Box.

Hogle Zoo: Big Cats

Really lovely, light and disarming. These are very pleasant ads, simple and creative. There is nothing really to over think. I can just imagine needing to shoot the dog in the tree with that expressing. Pure chance, patience and a lot of laughs, really awkwardly perfect. It is kind of hard to see the ads are promoting a Zoo, looks almost pet-food-like.

Motorola Rokr Z6, Motorola does iPod

Motorola Rokr Z6: Wireless music, 3

Motorola Rokr Z6: Wireless music, 2

Motorola Rokr Z6: Wireless music, 1

Have you noticed that the characters are not particularity exited or relieved to b fee? This exaggeration does not really have the humor or realism to underline it, its kind of just shots of something familiar (iPod ads). With copy its like “no, a lot of stuff here, goodbye”. It’s clean, it sells and that is not bad.

To all caffeine Photoshop retouches out there, take a break already. Have some tea, walk in the park run away from a bear to relax.

Award School Graduates 2007, We have all been there, but I choose to forget.

Award School Graduates 2007: Coat hanger

Award School Graduates 2007: Pouf

Award School Graduates 2007: Coffee Table

Really, Award School humiliates their own students in public? That’s not that awesome. But hey it’s the real world of advertising. Very dry Australian humor here.

There is difference between a good ad and a good looking ad. This is a great looking ad, but what the hell? I like the Armani Vogue Classic look to the photos, the locations are lovely and the light is cool, at least I like to shoot this sort of colour film noir lighting.

Award School is an advertising course in Australia, with some sort of work placement. This looks like it is targeting creative management of agencies, saying there are plenty of willing “slaves” on offer this year.

Neonode N2 Mobile Phone, hot cyberpunk eye candy.

Neonode N2 Mobile Phone: Call me

Neonode N2 Mobile Phone: Headphone

Neonode N2 Mobile Phone: Jewelery

Don’t think. Be stupid. Follow the crowd. But the photography is really nice here. Really nice soft and tight backlight, great tone control. All this is obviously assisted with retouching but the photography/production was great to start with. Very nice I think. Good photography and retouch in all three of them.

I like the art and the copy great! “No buttons, all you. Neonode N2 Mobile Phone” Nice job 2 out of 3 is not bad, not great but the 2 good ones are fantastic.

And, on another note: why is my net radio channels plying the same tunes all the time. I mean they are fantastic but were is the music variety and its longtail.

Continental Tyres, The copy is: “ContiSSR. Works even when it’s flat.” Just so you know the product here.

Continental Tyres: Balloon

Continental Tyres: Jumping Castle

Continental Tyres: Lilo

This is really fantastic; I love the concepts. The little balloon the pool shot awesome. This is the kind of many advertising photographers (at last I do) love to shoot. Creative, quirky, funny, and somewhat minimal. I am so exited about these. If I can say one thing against and I will! I rally hate the sky in the jumping castle one. It’s dull and blocked up, EW!

On the branding side, it would very hard to guessed it was for a tyre brand. But than using a tire to show a … tire is not all that creative, but a blow up doll is. I can’t believe the client went this way, great client.

Melissa, not sure about what is the product. Beautiful Brazilian art direction.

Melissa: Rapunzel

Melissa: Little red riding hood

Melissa: Cinderella

Melissa: Snow white

I suspect Melissa is a well-enough known name in Brazil, there is hardly anything about the product (the shoes), this is absolutely beautiful. Well done all for the guys and girls involved who pulled these off. Looks almost like a lingerie commercial. Not much on the photography here from me. I feel it’s more of an illustrating, with some cut elements and a lot of great detail.
