Zurich Insurance, Market to paranoid, they love insurance.

Zurich Insurance: Office

Zurich Insurance: Satellite

Were would we be without insurance to cover our ass? Better off financially perhaps, but have you ever been hit by a huge SUV with a trailer? Well I have.

I like the photos; hate the not so hunky curve. It mast be marketed to the executives that are stuck in time warp and still think its coo to do that.

Uwe Duettmann is quite an amassing photographer with a somewhat painful website to navigate (at the time of writing this). I love the rich, beautiful and lively car campaigns he did, these are obviously somewhat subdued for the subject and client. Here is the same campaign done well with a fold page:

Durex Condoms, TinTin in full body condom

Durex Condoms: Wheel barrow

Durex Condoms: Scissors

Durex Condoms: See-saw

This reminds me of the time when I was about 8 and doing community service or something like that at a local library. I got a hold of a whole bunch of condoms, from my friends parents special draw. Than coaxed my friends to help me blow them all up before the citys comunit party rep was given the tour of the place… Anyway back to the ads.

Well just like dirty jokes on the internet you can’t go wrong. No matter how done and recycled the idea is. Right? Great colours combination and looks like Tintin a little, dirty and freaky at the same time. But you know some of the great ad campaigns have been a recycled idea. Just implemented slightly differently and in a different region and possible aimed at a new demographic.

JBS mens underwear, Men don’t want to look at naked men

jbs mens underwear: Shave

jbs mens underwear: Rugby

jbs mens underwear: Sofa

The copy reads “Men don’t want to look at naked men”. This can be developed for a different market altogether with something like “Men just want to look at naked men”. But I won’t go there. I really think this is a great strategy, absolutely effective push at “metro” market and will not put off the macho segment.

The only thing that worries me is not all man buy their own underwear I think, but you can’t please everyone. A little edgy but I like that in an ad. Some say its just “mild soft core”; I say only in middle North America. Who shot this campaign?

Science Diet Dog Food, works better as a flashlight ad.

Science Diet Dog Food

Science Diet Dog Food

Science Diet Dog Food

One of them is really good, even if the concept was lifted from Clio student awards in 2005. But I don’t understand why they run with this three times. Actually they did not, you see, in one the vet is standing, than he is kneeling using his right hand to hold the light, and the other his left hand. That’s waaaay different.

I have a dog, I feed him with Science Diet, but still, he doesn’t open his mouth that easy when I take him to the vet.

Pure Suthee Yoga ,its almost like an unshaven porn. Hot and dirty but perhaps not too sexy.

Pure Suthee Yoga: Pose 3

Yogi, a yoga master taking classes from another. If this was targeted for LA it would be like less “break dancing zombie yeti” and more “I shower 342 times a day Ken doll”. Not that there is anything wrong with that. ;-) Who needs reality, authenticity and authority when sex sells, right? It’s a bit dark and hot without sexy, are you sure this is for the public and not just award hunting? Either way really good I think at least visuals are right, good photography here.
