Alka Seltzer: Piranhas

Alka Seltzer: Crocodiles

No one does better Alka Selter ads then the Thais it seems. Good idea and great execution. A bit subtle so did not see the stomach until I looked at both ads. Definitely not in your face kind of thing, but not boring either. A lot of digital and post, hell perhaps it all is. Remember the Last Superman movie were as a kid he runs through the field off corn or something like that. Then jumps… well the only non CGI bit there was his face at the point of the jump.

Another recent Alka Seltzer ad campaign by BBDO Thailand this time.
And, another: Alka Seltzer ad campaign by BBDO

Miss Epil, I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory.

Indian Jones cross pubic lice? Ummm… no, that’s not it.

Men can get lost and confused in your forest of body hair. Please use our hair remover so that he may locate your g-spot without a map and compass? Not everyone is a vintage porn freak. Ummm… no, that’s not it either.

Before anyone gets exited do notice that the hair is not curly and get your mind out of my gutter. By the way, do notice that these come from a French agency.

Cool idea, nice enough shots on top of some 3D backgrounds then warm toned somewhat. So quite easy from production point of view. Its definitely a ‘guiltying’ in to product not a feel good approach, but a little controversy stirs up an opinion and thus an effective ad.

Nivea Self Tan Spray, Never under any circumstances take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night

Nivea Self Tan Spray: Indoor

“Anytime. Anywhere”

Nivea Self Tan Spray: Outdoor

Simple Idea, simple execution and it looks just right. Well as much as tanning at night can be, so really good art here. It’s also just a little bit dark and sexy and a touch glam but reserved. Good insight for the ad.

I think Milos picked Tejal Patni to shoot this just because of his dark but lush and sexy portfolio work. Interesting that self tan ad done this way by a Dubai Agency.

SHS Teen Clothes, Mere factual innocence is no reason not to carry out a death sentence properly reached

SHS Teen Clothes: Girl

“Goodbye innocence”

SHS Teen Clothes: Boy

This is really freaky; I kinda like it. The shots do look really nice, idea that creates controversy is well suited for teens also. I don’t like the remote control and devil (that Mini-me, Hellboy thing) idea. It would be equally strong without it with just a good copy.

Also the older woman in the door is not cool, the casting is off. She comes across dirty and ugly nothing else. Otherwise the ads do look interesting and just a little different from the norm. As well as the photography and lighting, quite clean a little minimal but not boring.

Alka Seltzer, It should be the function of medicine to help people die young as late in life as possible

Alka Seltzer: Pork

Alka Seltzer: Pie

Alka Seltzer: Steak

A perfect combination of speed and digestion. That’s exactly what you want to happen in your stomach when you have an indigestion right? Well maybe not but the visuals are really fantastic. I like the well controlled in your face visuals, you can just see brand Alka Seltzer on the tablet but only at full size or actual print.

Lovely photography and even better retouching to put all the shots together for this. This sells the product perfectly though a visual metaphor. Perhaps some were mid Cannes material.
