I got pigeon in my eye: A UK motorcyclist survived crash after he was knocked out by a low-flying pigeon, hit the throttle on his bike and accelerated to 225km/h while unconscious.
Matthew Brealy, 38, was knocked out when the bird smashed through his helmet visor and shattered his glasses.
But he remained on his Suzuki GSXR, which was sent hurtling a further 180m before it ploughed into an oak free.
The bike disintegrated on impact in Nottinghamshire but the rider was thrown clear.
“I was covered in pigeon blood and feathers,” said Brealy, learning to walk again after two skull fractures and a broken leg.
