DEGRASSI? you compare this to DEGRASSI??? Skins is newly refreshing and it helps teens to deal with thier own issues wheras degrassi just lightens it up and doesn't touch back on those issues again. the show isn't about every teenager. it's just about those teenagers and how they live their life. how did you even become a critic, if thats even what you are. next time you review something, actually WATCH the show. Yes the kids do drugs, they have sex and they have problems but it's not entirely that. Most of the times drugs and sex are involved something goes wrong and they have to learn to deal with it. I think this is an amazing show, one of the best I've seen in years but then again I prefer a show that is real and harsh than a show that is watered down to try not to *shock* offend anyone. I am not one to frequently comment on online review but one like this filled with such ignorance got be angry enough that I could not help but comment. First of all, Skins is a show, simply a show that you the viewer, can choice to either view or not view. A for parents you can choice to either let or not let your child watch the program. Growing up I was never allowed to watch South Park by my parents guess what I never watch South Park. It is really that easy. Now when it comes to this program this is simply the most raw, real, and relatable show on television. The fact that you reference shows in you generation (probably from way back in the 70s) as what we should be achieving to be displays how pathetic your view on television really is. Being a 21 one year old who lived though the time depicted on this program, this is what happens? This is the reality to growing up here in America or overseas. Kids do drugs, kids have sex and I am thankful that a show finally displays a realistic take on life. For someone to look at afterschool specials, and The Facts of Life as accurate accounts of the world today need a serious dose of reality. Thank god, you are not a network program. Your ignorance is everything wrong with the world today and I hope people stop you from voicing your inaccurate views on the world.
