POLICE in a town of Christchurch, Dorset, UK have organised a driver awareness course for pensioners after a spate of accidents involving mobility scooters.

Complaints from residents of Christchurch, Dorset, about the elderly drivers came to a head last week when a pedestrian was left with a bruised face and cut lip after being knocked down.

The training involves testing the scooter drivers on an obstacle course.
